USTA Florida recently announced that they have added Susie Rahimitabar to their staff as their new Accounting & Administration Manager. Most of us know Susie “Rah” as a Mid Florida region tennis standout, with a great smile and an unwavering positive attitude! She has held various tennis roles, and has been a longtime volunteer for USTA Florida. However, many don’t know that Susie has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from UCF with graduate work in Business. She worked for over 33 years at Walt Disney World Company holding many positions, some of which include training for guest relations, training for assisting guest with disabilities, seminar productions, and being on a design team for “Disney Approach to Quality Service”. As well, Susie is a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry Professional) and has instructed on court, is a former high school varsity tennis coach (Dr. Phillips High School) and has shown great skill in 10 & under instruction as Director of Junior Recreational Programing at Lake Cane Tennis Center for the last 10 years. She also has experience as a USTA Local League Coordinator for Adult League Tennis in Region 4. Because of her efforts, she was named USTA Florida “Volunteer of the Year,” in 2011. Susie joins USTA Florida at a very busy time, and she will be a valuable part of their leadership team, according to Doug Booth, USTA Florida’s Executive Director. Congratulations to USTA Florida and to Susie! Mid Florida Tennis Association wishes Susie all the best in her new tennis role!
